Mankato, MN - Yvonne (Taschner) Burgi, of Mankato died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Laurels Peak. Her Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services at the church. Inurnment will be at Camp Ripley Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.

Yvonne was born July 3, 1933, to Waldo and Wanda Taschner in Belleville Township, Miner County, SD. She attended all 12 grades of elementary and high school at Waseca Central School. During her senior year and while attending Mankato Teachers College, she worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell Co. On August 7, 1954, she was united in marriage to Robert Burgi. She taught school for nine years and after moving to Mankato she worked for 23 years as a Transcript Secretary at Mankato State University.

Yvonne is survived by three daughters, Tamara Williams of Las Vegas, NV, Deborah Gjerde of Mankato, MN, and Theresa Gaffer of Maple Grove, MN; four grandchildren; Rachel Williams, Mark Gjerde, Jennifer Rogge, and Rebecca Gaffer; and three great-grandchildren, Aria and Makenna Gjerde and Harper Rogge.

She was preceded in death by her, parents, husband, brother, and son in-law.
