Tony Klaassen
Tony Klaassen was born on December 20, 1967 in Madelia, Minnesota to James and Loni Klaassen. He was baptized at the Madelia Lutheran Church. At the age of 5, he started attending school at Lakeview in Worthington, MN. Tony loved when his mom would pick him up and bring him home for the weekend. Tony graduated from Worthington High School. He celebrated this with a trip to Nashville with his mom. He then lived in New Ulm before settling in Mankato at Haugbeck Homes. Tony worked at MRCI. He loved country music and could often be found playing DJ in his very own music studio. As a kid Tony's favorite country music singer was local Windommite Pete Byam. Tony was a diehard Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan. This love was highlighted by meeting many sports stars throughout the years. Tony will be remembered for his infectious smile and big hugs.
Tony was recently placed in hospice care and passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at his home in Mankato.
