Mankato, MN - Suellen Lloyd, age 78, died on August 30, 2025 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato, Minnesota.
Funeral Services are at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 8th at First Presbyterian Church in Mankato with Rev. Eric Garner officiating, with burial at Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church.
She was born on December 20, 1946 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Willard and Hazel (Kangas) Lloyd. Suellen grew up in Cambria and graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1964 and attended Mankato Commercial College. On July 31, 1965, she married Richard Ryg and together they were blessed with 2 daughters.
She worked as a cook at Hillcrest Nursing Home and a proofreader/computer operator at Taylor Corporation for 35 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Suellen is survived by 2 daughters: Becky (Ted) Evans of Kasota and Teresa (Jason) Ryg Marzinake of St. Clair; 5 grandchildren: Chelsea, Broke and Brandon (Kathryn) Evans, Tanner (Sarah) and Madison Ryg; Great Grandchildren: Lily and Christian Evans; sister-in-law: Donna Lloyd; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Kenneth Lloyd and Everett Lloyd and his wife, Mary.
Memorials are preferred to Cambria Presbyterian Church or the donor's choice.
