Nicollet, Minnesota - Rose Mary Ann (Fasnacht) Hiniker, age 83, of Nicollet, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet. Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Mankato at a later date. Light lunch to follow service.

Rose was born on February 7, 1943, in Tripp, South Dakota, to Ernest and Elizabeth (Veverka) Fasnacht. Rose attended All Saints Catholic School in Madison Lake and Loyola High School in Mankato.

On November 28, 1964, Rose married John R. Hiniker at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, Minnesota. Together, they owned and operated Lakeside Cycle Center for 25 years in Mankato.

Rose was an avid gardener, loved reading and cherished the time she spent with her family. She will be remembered for her expansive gardens, gentle spirit, caring heart, and devotion to those she loved.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years John; daughter, Casandra "Cassie" Lillo; brother, John Fasnacht; grandchildren, Jamie (Tony) Hiniker-Hibbler, Cody Lillo, Nicole "Nikki" (Ron) Wilson; and great-grandchildren Jonathan Hiniker, August and Amari Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Fasnacht; sister, Barb (Fasnacht) Hill; brother, Walter & sister-in-law, Rosie Fasnacht; sister-in-law, Barbara (Leverson) Fasnacht; son-in-law, Greg Lillo; Father & Mother-in-Law, John and Ann Hiniker. The family is deeply grateful to the staff of St. Croix hospice for the loving care of Rosemary.

Rose will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
