Ronald William Heiser was born at home in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, to Donald and Dorothy (Lewis) Heiser on February 15, 1939.
He grew up on the farm of his grandparents William and Minnie Heiser, attended Judson School and graduated in 1957 from Mankato (West) High School.
Ron was drafted into the US Army in November, 1961, and served stateside and in Germany.
January 4, 1964, he married Sarah Louise (Sally) Dewey at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Mankato.
They were blessed to adopt two children, Jill Lauren, 1967, and Daniel William, 1971.
Ron was a true Minnesota nice guy, displaying throughout his life that famous midwestern work ethic, which his children and grandchildren inherit.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and an avid Twins and Vikings fan.
Ron was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, one sister Marcella Black, one brother Thomas Lentz, and one great-grandchild Cameron Nunez. He leaves behind his wife, Sally, daughter and son-in-law Jill and Michael Long; son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Cassandra Heiser, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, all in the Phoenix area.
