Minnetonka, MN - Robert "Bob" Matthew Pockrass of Minnetonka died peacefully in his home; August, 24, 2026. He was born on March 8, 1937, in Albany, New York, to Alfred and Frances Pockrass.

Bob received his degree from the University of Connecticut in 1958 and earned his doctorate from Syracuse University in 1965. In 1969, he founded the law enforcement program at Mankato State University, where he taught until his retirement in 1996.

In addition to his work at Mankato State University, Bob taught in Middle Eastern countries and in Northern Ireland, which was his favorite assignment. He was an avid reader, often reading four to five books a week.

Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
