Montgomery, MN - ROBERT "BOB" LEE MILLER, age 85, of Montgomery passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 at The Villages of Lonsdale.

Bob was born September 7, 1939 to William H. and Mary (Holicky) Miller on the family farm in Kilkenny township. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. He graduated from Montgomery High School in 1957. November 30, 1957 he enlisted and started basic training with the US Army Reserves in Fort Chaffee, AR. In 1961 he met the love of his life Barbara Jean Dannheim at Hardegger's Ballroom and were married February 24, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter. They then moved to Montgomery where he took over the family dairy farm. In 1980 he won state DHIA honors and was among the top in the nation with his dairy herd. Bob enjoyed watching football, playing cards, going to dances, but most of all he loved his family and taking care of his dairy herd, working in the woods and keeping his farm looking picture perfect.

Bob survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Julie Kuckler of West St. Paul MN; son, Steven "Killer" Miller of Montgomery, MN; grandchildren, Clarissa (Steve) Chock of Forest Lake, MN, Matthew (Siv) Kuckler of Hudson, WI, Amy (Robert) Leif of Rosemount, MN; great-grandchildren, Neil Kuckler, Gordie & Johnnie Leif; sister, Gloria Trcka of Montgomery; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Miller of New Prague; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Mary (Holicky) Miller; son-in-law, John Kuckler; siblings, William A. (Marilyn) Miller, Eldred Miller, Carlton Miller, Rose (LeRoy) Perteet; nephew, Todd Trcka.

Visitation for Bob will be from 4 - 7 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
