Richard Courtland Salet, age 92, died Oct. 11, 2010, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Survived by three daughters, Lee Salet (Steve), Natalie Peterson (Ron), Lou Glad (Mark); three grandchildren, Rachel, Brian and Troy; and the love-of-his-life, Marcia Larson. Richard grew up in Mankato, received his MBA from Harvard and owned several retail stores. He was a W.W.II veteran, a lieutenant colonel (ret.) U.S. Army Air Corps/U.S. Air Force. Richard loved nature and all of its creatures and served on the Board of directors for the Minnesota Zoo. The family is forever grateful to the healthcare workers at Clare Bridge of Plymouth for their loving care of Richard for three years. Private family service to be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Minnesota Zoo.
