St. James, Minnesota - Phyllis Veronica Westman, age 93, of Saint James, died on April 16, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Saint James.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at the Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint James Catholic Church on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Saint James. Phyllis was born November 5, 1930, to Edward Sr. and Mathilda (Seidl) Sellner in rural Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She attended country school near the farm she grew up on close to Leavenworth, Minnesota. On June 10, 1950, Phyllis married Delbert Westman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Together, they raised three sons.

Phyllis loved her family deeply and spent most of her time with her children and grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Steven (Laurie) Westman of Pepin, Wisconsin, Randy (Pam) Westman of Mankato, and Jerry (Sue) Westman of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren, Luke (Katie), Tyler (Anne), Jacob (Jessica), Gabe (Katie) Hunter, Alexis, and Heidi (RJ); great grandchildren, Audrey, Cece, Waylon, Eleanor, Bobby, Graham, and Eloise; and sisters, Joyce (Gary) Berg and Beatrice (Tom) Koop.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert; grandson, Jason; and 12 brothers and sisters.
