Mankato, Minnesota - Mona Mavis Koehler, age 95, of Mankato passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025.

Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1103 N. Broad Street, Mankato with visitation two hours prior. Burial will be held at a later date in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Mona was born at home in Galva, Iowa. She grew up in South Dakota and Minnesota.

Mona met Vern, who was the love of her life, in 1947. They were married May 29th ,1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nicollet. Mona and Vern moved south of Nicollet in 1963 where they milked dairy cattle and farmed for 30 years. Mom loved spending time with family and friends. She was active in the Nicollet American Legion and the Ladies aid at church.

Mona is survived by her husband of 76 years, Vernon; children, Susan (Jerry) McCabe, Jeanette (John) Sieberg, Mark (Carol) Koehler, and Rebecca (Tim) Benner; grandchildren, Jason, Jesse, Shaun, Jeremy (Carrie), Angela (Matt), Megan (Ben), Brian (Danielle), Joshua, and Tyler; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.

Mona was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie JoAnn; great-granddaughter, Madelynne Orth; parents, Harry and Vivian Friday, and sister, Virginia Miller.
