Mark Thomas Frost Obituary
Mankato, MN - Mark Thomas Frost, born on March 18, 1951, passed away on July 25th, 2026 at the age of 75.
He was born to Charles Frost and Katherine Thro. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Ann Sobraski and Jane Burgan.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Jennifer (Dorn) Frost, his high school sweetheart, whom he married on November 6, 1970. Jennifer, the 1970 Mankato Loyola Homecoming Queen, was the love of his life, and together they built a marriage rooted in devotion, laughter, and unwavering love.
He is also survived by his three sons: Tony Frost, and his daughter Lilly; Ty Frost, and his wife Jelena Tarbuk-Frost and their daughters, Ana and Mia; and Nick Frost, and his daughters, Nadia and Ellie. His greatest joy was his family, and nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is further survived by his siblings, Chuck, Steve, Rick, Chris, Kathy, Mary, and Elizabeth, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A proud graduate of the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy, Class of 1978, he dedicated his professional life to caring for others. Since 1982, he faithfully served the Mankato area as a pharmacist, earning the trust and respect of generations of families through his compassion, knowledge, and commitment to their well-being.
His dedication to his community extended beyond his profession. He served several terms on the Mankato City Council, where he worked to strengthen the community he loved so deeply. He believed in giving back and took great pride in serving the city that had given so much to him and his family.
Outside of work and public service, he embraced every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, pontoon rides, skiing, racquetball, following sports, and spending time at the YMCA. Whether on the water, in the woods, on the court, or cheering for his favorite teams, he found joy in staying active and sharing those moments with family and friends.
Anyone who knew him remembers his unmistakable laugh. It was infectious, filled with joy, and had a way of bringing out the best in everyone around him. He carried himself with a cheerful spirit, a warm smile, and an optimism that made people feel welcome, valued, and at ease.
Above all else, he loved people. He cherished his community, lifelong friendships, family, children, grandchildren and the greatest love of his life, Jennifer, his high school sweetheart. Their 55-year marriage was a remarkable example of enduring love, loyalty, and partnership, inspiring everyone who knew them.
His kindness, integrity, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to those he loved will be remembered always. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, pharmacist, public servant, and friend.
A visitation will be held at Mankato Mortuary on Friday July 31st 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, and at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Saturday August 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM.
