Katy and Don were such good friends and their love of the Latin
Mass on "some" Saturdays in Mankato during the year brought us together in the faith they both loved so much. They also attended Sunday Masses at St. Henry Parish in rural Le Sueur which was our parish, as well.
May the angels lead thee into paradise, may the martyrs receive thee at thy coming, and lead thee into the holy city of Jerusalem. May the choir of angels receive thee, and mayest thou have eternal rest with
Lazarus, who was once poor.

Hi Chris & Mara...
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your Mom & Mother-in-law. There never is a good time to loose a loved one, so I will continue to pray for you and your family during this time. May God bless you and watch over you...and now she is happy being with Don..

Katy was a wonderful aunt! I will never forget her. She shared her love of the Catholic faith with me, and her love of the sacred music of the mass. In my college years, during a summer trip to Minnesota, Katy took me to a Latin mass, somewhere in the Twin Cities. The experience was magnificent. She later bought me a CD of the St. Cecilia Mass, by Gounod. I still have it. Later, a copy of 'The Catechism of the Catholic Church' arrived by mail, from Katy, along with an inspiring letter. I still have both. Katy was a true defender of the faith. The old faith.

When she and Don visited my family in Charleston, in the mid-seventies, she bought me a locally made sweet grass basket. I still have

God Bless Katy. She was a Saint in my eyes. I wish I could have spent more time with her. Attached is a photo of her with her brothers David and Terry, during one of Esther's funerals.
