Perham, Minnesota - Karen Williams age 84 passed away Jun 2 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Rochester Minnesota. Karen was born October 23,1940 to Max and Edna Speck, Good Thunder Minnesota. Karen attended Good Thunder schools graduating in 1958. She went on to College at Mankato State University graduating with a degree in education. June 10th 1962 she married John Williams. She had one son Lance in August 1970.
Karen taught home economics 1 year at Welcome Minnesota, 1 year at Eagle Bend Minnesota, 4 years at Perham Minnesota and 26 years at Elk River Minnesota retiring in 1993.
Karen and her husband retired to the home on Little McDonald Lake near Perham Minnesota.
Karen dedicated her time to Perham community contributing 30 years to food shelf, active member Perham garden club and competing/judging flower shows northern Minnesota with much success and appreciation.
Karen was in charge of flowers and arrangements at East Ottertail Fair.
She enjoyed traveling to many different places with husband, while spending winters together in Sun City Grand at Surprise Arizona. She enjoyed living on Little McDonald home with Huge Hosta gardens all around the property. She contributed many plants to the garden club.
She is survived by Husband John, brother Curtis Speck of Good Thunder Minnesota, sister Sandra Speck of Eagan, Minnesota, one son Lance and Sherry Williams of Billings, MO and two grandsons Hunter and Hayden
She was much loved and appreciated.
Services will be Calvary Lutheran Chuck Perham MN Wednesday June 11th
