John Pierre Chatleain, age 74, died on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at Rivers Edge Hospital in St. Peter. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 22 from 4p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Le Center Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23 at 10 a.m. with visitation an hour prior at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center with Fr. Stiles officiating.

John was born on September 8, 1947 to Helen (Fasnacht) and Louis J. Chatleain at St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. He married Theresa Freundl, they later divorced. John later met his life partner of 36 years Jean Swanson. John graduated from Mankato West High School and then Votec in North Mankato for Auto Body.

He worked at various autobody shops, Hubbard Milling in Mankato and Le Sueur he retired from Cambria in Le Sueur.

John enjoyed photography, collecting Coast to Coast memorabilia, watching wildlife on his trail cam, Deer hunting, hiking and collecting antlers. John also loved spending time with his cats; Bachelor, Little one, Goldy locks, Spot and Lucky Lady.

John is survived by his life partner, Jean Swanson of LeCenter; children Joezette Bruender of Eagle Lake, Jack (Lori) Chatleain of Ohio, Travis (Jessica) Chatleain of Searles and Amanda Penman of North Mankato.

Grandchildren; Jonathan Bruender, Dustin Bruender, Ashleigh Bruender, Mason Dammer, Makena Dammer, Justin Chatleain, Jordan Chatleain, Hiker Chatleain, Trapper Chatleain, Maddie Chatleain, Logan Penman and Addison Penman and four Great Grandchildren.

Brothers Michael, Richard, Donald, James, Thomas. Sisters Nancy, Julie, Rosemarie (Sis), Marilyn, Maude, Lisa and Anne.

John was preceded in death by his parents, son in law Kenneth Bruender, Sister Kathleen Sembauer, Brother in law James Bruce and 2 infant siblings Kelly and Larry.
