Elko New Market, MN - Jason Lee Lamont, age 84, of New Market, MN, passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2025. Born in Elysian, MN, on October 18, 1940, Jason lived a life defined by service, love, and community.

He dedicated his career to education as a teacher and coach for the Lakeville and Bloomington School Districts, where he mentored and inspired countless students over the years. After retiring from education, Jason found just as much joy in his second career at Performance Office Papers, where he continued to build lasting friendships and contribute with his signature humor and strong work ethic.

A proud and active member of the New Market - Elko - Webster (N.E.W.) Lions Club, Jason believed deeply in giving back to the community he cherished. He was also an avid fisherman and a gifted storyteller-known for weaving humor and heart into every tale. No matter where he was, Jason brought joy to all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia; his children Greg (Diane) Lamont, Karen Osborn (Mark), Kathy Lewis (Tye), and Kristen Witkowski (Mike); grandchildren Cody (Amanda), Daulton (Megan), Sam (Kate), Alex (Marissa), Max and Jackson; and great-grandchildren Nash and Brynnlee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Theda; brothers Jim, Jerry, and Jeff; and one infant son.

Jason was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will be missed dearly and remembered always.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 4:00 p.m., at the Horse and Hunt Club, 2920 E 220th St, Prior Lake.
