Eden Prairie, MN - Janet June Eichers, age 90, of Eden Prairie formerly Mankato passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026.

Janet was born on June 12, 1936, to Leo and Rachel (McMahan) Hiniker. Janet was united in marriage to Curt Eichers on June 13, 1959. They enjoyed 62 years together.

She is survived by son Greg Eichers; daughters Diane (Eric) Evander and Susan (Mike) Deegan; son Mike (Donna) Eichers; 10 beloved grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis; infant sons Daniel and Gary; parents Leo and Rachel Hiniker; brothers Robert and Benjamin Hiniker; sisters Bette Swain, Margaret Grahn and Alice Sacco; and great grandson Isaac McQuillan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held August 10 at 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Private burial after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Hospice.

The family is deeply grateful to the staff at Eden Prairie Senior Living Memory Care and Grace Hospice for their loving care of our mom.

Janet will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
