Waseca, Minnesota - IRISH GEARIETY, age 67 of Waseca, died Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato.
Irish was born on July 6, 1958, in El Paso, Texas, the oldest son of Charles and Anna (Roppert) Geariety. He worked for Brown Printing in Waseca for 30 years before his retirement. When he was a youngster, he enjoyed playing baseball and later became an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan. Attending his grandkids' activities and spending time with his family are some of the things he enjoyed the most. To the ones that knew him best, he was a prankster, a storyteller and amused others with his dry sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Irish is survived by his children, JJ Geariety (Stacy Williams) of Janesville, Bryce Geariety (Amalia Martinez) of Wrightwood, California; grandchildren, Brayden, Parker, Hattie, Ellie; siblings, Christine Hellekson of Volga, South Dakota, Chuck (Sue) Geariety of Pemberton, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Patrick Geariety and brother-in-law, Howard Hellekson.
Visitation will be held, Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service - Janesville Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM at the funeral home following the visitation. Private family interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Clair.
