Mankato, MN - Gregory P. Goebel, age 69 of Mankato, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00am Monday, May 11, 2026 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Mankato. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00pm Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and 10:00am Monday at church. To leave a condolence for the family, visit www.mankatomortuary.com.

Gregory Paul Goebel was born June 17, 1956 to Richard and Eileen Goebel in Mankato, MN. He attended grade school and high school in St. Clair, MN. He graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with Bachelor of Science in Business. Greg owned and operated his own hog operation until he had to sell due to health issues. He happened upon his dream job with Investor Commodity Services and stayed employed with them until his death.

Greg is survived by his wife, Dawn Goebel; children: Nicole O'Connor (Betsy Stoltz), Jacob Goebel; granddaughter Ellen Bellitz; Brothers: Dan (Sue) Goebel, Tim Goebel, Paul Goebel, Jim Goebel (Niki), Mark (Stacy) Goebel, and John (Carol) Goebel; sister Lisa (Jay) Rempher; and sister-in-law Deb Goebel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eileen Goebel; brothers: Michael and David Goebel; and nephew Chris Goebel. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for his family.
