Douglas Val Fredericksen
Douglas Val Fredericksen Obituary
Douglas Val Fredericksen was born Sept 4, 1946 to Margaret (Tarrant) and Earle Fredericksen and passed away on Feb 25, 2024 at his Lake Crystal home. He grew up on the family farm and lived there most of his life. He graduated from LCHS in 1964. In 1967, he married Nancy Larson; they had one son, Jason, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Paula Jergens in 2006.
He worked in the trucking department at Crysteel for many years and farmed with his dad. In the last few years, he was at North Links Golf Club where he showed his mechanical skills by being able to fix most anything. He gained many friendships working there.
He loved being around people (once you got him there) and was a classic comedian!
His creative skills led him to restore vintage cars, such as "Martha", a 1938 Pontiac, and his masterpiece, Larry A's Cushman Scooter.
As his COPD worsened, he had to leave his golf job, but they didn't forget him!
Doug is survived by his wife, Paula, granddaughters, Kayla and Kasey Fredericksen, brother, Dennis (Joan), sister, Jean Hanson, 4 nephews: Scott, Jay, Clark and Mike, 1 niece, Deb, special aunt, Nada Wiggins and other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife, Nancy, son, Jason, grandson, Noah, and other special relatives and friends.
A private burial was at Minneopa.
