Donald "Don"  Beadell, 85, of Mankato, MN, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at home in Mankato, surrounded by his family. Visitation will be 4-7pm, Monday, December 21 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary. Funeral Mass at 10:30am, Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial with full military honors at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the National Kidney Foundation or Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospice. Don was born May 8, 1930, in Vesta, MN, the son of Harry & Ione Beadell. Don served in the US Army from 1952-1954, and served in the National Guards for many years. Don retired from Mankato Fire Department after 22 years in 1981 and kept busy with part-time work and any building/handyman projects, and finished working as a courier for Community Bank Mankato.  Don loved to read westerns, golf, have coffee with the buddies, pull or scratch some tickets and occasional trips to the casino. Don especially loved being with family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Don is survived by his wife, Lynn; daughters, Susan (Doug) Johnson, Becky Beadell; sons, Jeff (Cindy) Beadell, Tim (Pam) Beadell;  many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Collen Yaeger; brothers, Quentin (Carol) Beadell, Harry II (Deb) Beadell, Gene (Sue) Beadell. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Kent and Scott; brother, Robert; sister, Bev; and brother-in-law, Clifford.
