North Mankato, MN - Dave Grams, son of William (Bill) and Evelyn Grams was born September 1, 1941 and grew up on the family farm near Janesville, Minnesota. He helped raise livestock and was active in 4-H. He graduated from Janesville High School and Mankato State College before joining the Navy. He served for 6 years and rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He married Mary Ann Hornick on November 21, 1964, and she joined him on some globetrotting adventures. After the Navy, Dave settled down to hobby farming and working at Mankato State University in the Biology Department for 35 plus years. He also enjoyed growing wildflowers, raising poultry, and attending his kids activities, especially wrestling and volleyball. Later he was his grandkids' biggest and constant fan at their events too. He was active in church, the Knights of Columbus and Teens Encounter Christ retreat program. He loved working with young people and wanted them to know God's love. Dave will be remembered for his steady presence and his kind heart.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Evelyn, his brother Gerald, his sister Dianne McDonnell and his nephew Mark.

He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Paulette (Polly) Schoeb and Mikk Grams, his grandchildren Dalton, Katelyn and Sophie, by his brother Glenn Grams (Rosalie); and by many nieces and nephews.

Mass of christian burial is at 11am on Thursday, September 3rd at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (525 Grant Ave) in North Mankato, MN.

Memorial visitation is at the North Mankato- Northview Mortuary (2060 Commerce Drive) on Wednesday, September 2, from 4-7pm and also at the church on Thursday beginning one hour before the service.
