Madison Lake, MN - David passed away on March 6, 2026 surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Bray Park Campground (22214 Oriole Rd, Madison Lake, MN 56063, at the cabin in the back of the park) from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

David was born in Mankato, MN on January 11, 1953. He was the son of Wilmar and Muriel (Hoffman) Auringer.

Friends and family will remember David for his humor, his love of the outdoors, and his competitive spirit.

David is reunited in heaven with his parents, Wilmar and Muriel Auringer, his siblings Lonnie Trio, Wilmar "Corky" Auringer, and Myla Salfer; and grandson Jax.

He is survived by his two sisters, Jodi Ott and Beth Williams (Graham Danish); children Melanie Miller (Eric Jones), Jon (Jackie), Brad (Robin), Robert (Ryanne) and Alex (Jake Stutts) Auringer; two stepsons, Joe and Mike Kipke; lots of grandchildren, and many other family members.
