St. Peter, MN - Daniel "Archie" W. Archer, age 85 of St. Peter, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026.

Daniel Willis Archer was born September 20, 1940 in Clarinda IA to Daniel C. and Ruth E. (Snively) Archer. He was united in marriage to Ruby Ann Peterson on March 4, 1961 in Forest City IA. They eventually moved to St. Peter, where they raised their family. Daniel was employed as a mechanic at the DX Station in St. Peter, but later spent his career as a custodian at the St. Peter High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cards, and spending time with his family.

Left to remember Archie are his wife of 65 years, Ruby; children: Deb (Rick) Schroeder, Tina (Eric) Johnson, Joe (Carie) Archer, and Dan (Kristin) Archer; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings.
