Died April 20 of pulmonary complications from chemotherapy treatment

Preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents.

Survived by his wife, Liz, children Ellie and Alex, parents Connie and Roger Boyer, brother Chris Boyer, many cousins and relatives from the Boyer, Peterson, Marsh and Coggins families.

Craig will be remembered for his quiet kindness, gentle strength, and deep love for all creatures. He always believed there was room for one more pet in his home. His faith was a meaningful part of his life, and he enjoyed exploring new theological questions. Over the years, he trained in several martial arts, earning black belts in both judo and jiu-jitsu. He found purpose in his work as a middle school teacher and was deeply respected for the way he connected with his students.

Craig loved camping with his family, cursing at the Vikings on Sunday afternoons, and having long conversations with his favorite dog, Georgie. He took immense pride in his daughter and son and wholeheartedly supported their interests—whether that meant debating classic literature with Ellie or going fossil hunting with Alex. For Craig, what mattered most was simply being with them.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Service will be held on Friday April 25 at 2pm, with visitation beginning at 1pm, at Eagle Brook Church in Woodbury (11125 Eastview Rd, Woodbury, MN 55129). Private burial.
