Clarence Hruby Obituary

Clarence Hruby, age 92, of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13 from 4pm to 8pm at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 14 at 10am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Clarence was born on April 4, 1927 in New Prague to Joseph and Mary (Petricka) Hruby. At a young age, Clarence's mother passed away. Clarence's father remarried Betty Turek. Clarence attended St. Raphael's and was a graduate of Montgomery High School. Clarence served in the US Navy. Clarence was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dorothy Duzan on May 14, 1949 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. He was a John Deere dealer and also owned and operated Hruby Rentals, both in Montgomery. Clarence was a proud member of the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, Knights of Columbus, and the Montgomery American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, dancing, fishing, and working.

Clarence is survived by his children, Richard Hruby of Bloomington, Chris (Mark) Bisek of Montgomery, Mike (Robyn) Hruby of Montgomery, and Lisa (Tony) Kozitza of North Mankato; son-in-law, Dale Ferguson of Colorado Springs, CO.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn (Jack) Holomek of Montgomery.

Clarence is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents, daughter, Sue Ferguson, and sisters, Eleanor and Marietta.
