Angeline "Angie" Schultz Obituary

Angeline "Angie" Schultz, age 96, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Whispering Creek in Janesville.

Angie was born on June 5, 1928, in Faribault County, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Rathai. She graduated from Pemberton High School and went on to work at Saint Joseph Hospital in Mankato, until her marriage to Francis Schultz of Wells Minnesota on June 5, 1951. The couple then moved to Janesville, Minnesota in 1958.

In addition to the daily chores of cooking, cleaning, and raising ten wonderful children. Angie was a highly active member of Saint Ann Catholic Church where she taught religion for 15 years, started the St Elizabeth Seton funeral unit with co-chair Marie Kaupan, and was chair for 26 years, organizing and assisting in 70 plus funerals, along with numerous wedding events. She started, organized, and worked the Saint Ann fall festival. She worked for the Janesville township as an election judge for 40 years.

She is survived by her husband Francis; children: Dennis (Brenda) Schultz, David Schultz, Ann (Bob) Carda, Mark (Karen)Schultz, Carol Holleran, Jim (Marcia) Schultz, Julie Schultz, Connie Schultz (Gerry Hutton), Susan (Will) McGowan; daughter-in-law, Theresa Schultz; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Norbert (Margaret) Schultz.

She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel, son in law Michael Holleran and granddaughter in law Lori Carda, parents, her four brothers, four sisters, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, March 17, 2025, at St. Ann Catholic Church. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville with Fr. Robert Schneider as Celebrant. The burial will be at Saint Ann's cemetery.

In lieu of flowers: donations to Saint Ann Catholic Church or Janesville Area Foundation.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Whispering Creek and St. Croix Hospice for the Care Angie received.
