Warren O. Brockmeyer, age 95, of Mankato, died on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Warren was born on November 7, 1921 in Mankato to Otto and Margaret (Feldbusch) Brockmeyer. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1941. Warren served in the United States Navy from February 2, 1941-October 5, 1945 in the Pacific during World War II. Warren was united in marriage to Peggy Burmeister on June 7, 1947. Peggy died March 2, 1999. Warren was then married to Rita Langer on November 5, 1999. He worked for Northwestern Bell for 36 years before retiring in 1981.
Warren is survived by his wife, Rita of Mankato; daughter, Lynn (Ken) Ogden of Buffalo; son, Charles (Patricia) Brockmeyer of Coon Rapids; six grandchildren, Patrick Ogden and special friend (Sunny Vourjolo), Matthew (Tiffany) Ogden, Sarah (Shannon) Koskinen, Kelli Brockmeyer, and Alyssa Brockmeyer; three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Logan, and Kai; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Peggy; daughter, Jane; grandson, Daemian Brockmeyer; four brothers; and two sisters.
