Richard "Dick"'s Story
Richard 'Dick' Clausen, 67, of Waseca, formerly of Mankato, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 9, 2017.

Dick was born on July 28, 1949 in Mankato to Conrad and Berneice (Peek) Clausen. He grew up on the family farm in Pemberton, and in 1967 he graduated from Waldorf-Pemberton High School.
Dick was drafted into the United States Army in 1968, and spent two years in Vietnam.
He started working at National Poly Products in Mankato once he returned from the military, and retired after 42 years with them.
On September 28, 1984 Richard married Judy (Blowers) Frost.
Dick and Judy enjoyed dancing and singing along to the jukebox, fishing together across the state of Minnesota and boating. He liked woodworking, reading books with his cat Wilbur on his lap, and was very proud of his garden. He was a loving and dedicated husband, and will be remembered for his ability to make friends and his lasting smile.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy; step-daughters, Teri Frost and Michelle (Eric) Mayo; grandchildren, Nathan, Jonathan and Abby.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
