MaryAnn VanderLouw, 64 of Lake Crystal, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Care System-Mankato.
Memorial service will be held 10a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1851 Marie Ln, North Mankato with visitation one hour prior.
MaryAnn was born June 1, 1952 to Dr. George Alan and Mary (Forward) Morgan in Cheyenne, WY. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1970. She married Douglas VanderLouw in 1973. Together they raised four boys. They later divorced. MaryAnn spent many years taking care of her own and many other children.
There are hundreds of "VanderLouws" out there that were touched by her example of unconditional love. Her "family" was very large and extended well beyond her 4 boys. Her home was open to all, especially the tired, sad, lonesome, broken, hurt, peculiar and lost. She comforted those that stood in need of comfort, mourned with those who mourned. This will be her greatest legacy. She often told her children to bloom where they were planted. She taught humility, gratitude, perseverance and patience. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
MaryAnn is survived by her children, Raymond (Rebecca) VanderLouw, Jezreal (Trina) VanderLouw, Jade (Denay Owens) VanderLouw, and Seth VanderLouw; 13 grandchildren; sister, Georgia Pietan; twin brother, William (Kris) Morgan; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
