Gertrude "Trudi"'s Story
Gertrude "Trudi" Anderson, age 80 of Belle Plaine and formerly of Mankato, passed away on February 16, 2017 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Memorial service will be at 11am Thursday, February 23 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Rev. Ed Fredrich will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Trudi was born March 12, 1936 to Albert and Tunie (Wilking) Poehler in Courtland, MN. Trudi married Ronald Anderson on September 3, 1959 in Courtland, Minnesota and worked many years at local banks in the Mankato area. They lived in rural Mankato, MN before moving to Belle Plaine, MN. Trudi was a skilled seamstress who created several wedding and bridesmaids dresses over the years. She also enjoyed the outdoor life and spent time hunting, fishing, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ron,
Children, Mike Anderson (Mary Blumhoefer) of Waterville,
Tracy Anderson (Tim Karels) of Belle Plaine,
Grandchildren, Tanner Anderson, Nick & Nia Arguedas,
Brothers; George (Darlene) Poehler of Nicollet, Harold (Betty) Poehler of Bloomington, Richard (Marion) Poehler of Good Thunder, James Poehler of Cambridge; and sisters, Elaine (Jerry) Peterson of Glencoe and Adeline Magras of Howard Lake; several nieces and nephews and extended family. Trudi was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Tunie; siblings, Dorothy, Albert Jr, Arnold, Marvin, and Robert.
