Florence Mary Stenzel, age 90, of Mapleton, formerly of Minnesota Lake, MN died Friday, March 17, 2017 at Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton, MN, with Father Jason Kern officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton, MN, and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Minnesota Lake, MN. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family. Florence LeBrun was born May 7, 1926 in Mapleton, MN, the daughter of Felix and Wilhelmina (Weber) LeBrun. She attended Gilmore country school and lived in the Mapleton and Minnesota Lake area all her life. Florence was united in marriage to Henry Stenzel, August 7, 1945, at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton, MN. She helped Henry with farming, took care of the house and was a wonderful mother and friend. Florence was known as the "Rosary Lady", and attended both St. John the Baptist and St. Teresa Catholic Churches. She was a member of the Mapleton VFW and MCH Auxiliary. Florence was a Mapleton Community Home volunteer and a rosary leader. She loved playing cards, quilting, and spending time with loved ones.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry; twin infant daughters; sons: Gary, Russell and Bruce; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her daughters: Karen (Leonard) Binstock of Hot Springs Village, AR, Lois Dutton (Dale Bartsch) of Owatonna, MN, Diane (Kevin) Stiernagle of Aitkin, MN; daughter-in-law Jane Stenzel of Minnesota Lake, MN; 18 grandchildren, 42 great grandchild and 8 great-great grandchild; nieces and nephews and their families; and many wonderful friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
