Florence's Story

Florence Louise Braun, age 83 of Waseca, died on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Born on June 12, 1933, in Danville Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota, Florence was the daughter of Arthur and Ella (Klinder) Schwarz. She graduated from Janesville High School. On July 12, 1953 Florence married William Braun at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. She enjoyed playing cards, entertaining, and serving others in any way she could. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.
Florence is survived by her husband, Bill Braun of Waseca; three daughters, Carol (Ron Weise) Klampe of Waseca, Karen (Ed) Roozen of Janesville, and Susan (Tim) Stevenson of North Mankato; six grandchildren, Michael (Devann) Klampe, Corey (Carolyn) Klampe, Jessica (Toby) Anderson, Jennifer (Cory) Connors, Leah Stevenson, and Logan Stevenson; six great-grandchildren, Dalton, Peyton, and Bevin Klampe, Tiera and Ava Anderson, and Kenzie Connors. She is also survived by two sisters, LaJune (John) Schmidt of Janesville, and Beverly (Pat) Muldoon of Madison Lake; two sisters-in-law, LouAnn Schwarz of Winona, and Doris Manthey of Waseca; and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Spotts of Mankato; and Alvin Gilster of Faribault. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; two brothers, LuVerne (Yvonne) Schwarz and Clifford Schwarz; and two sisters, Alice Spotts and Violet Gilster.
Visitation will be held from 3-7PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Interment will follow at the Janesville Cemetery. Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca is handling arrangements. dennisfuneralhomes.com
