Clarence S. Valliant, 88, Mankato, died Saturday March 4, 2017 at Pathstone Living in Mankato. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in North Mankato with Pastor Vance Becker officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Clarence was born July 31, 1928 to Bert and Ruth (Rhodes) Valliant in Mankato. He served in the United States Navy. Clarence was united in marriage to Vivian Valliant, the two later divorced. He worked as a firefighter. In his free time Clarence enjoyed collecting Cadillacs, raising Dalmatian dogs, and lots of sightseeing. He was a member of the Morson - Ario VFW Post #9713 in Mankato.
He is survived by sons, Vincent Valliant and Vern (Mary) Valliant; daughters, Vicky Valliant, Virginia (Tom) Jannings, and Veronica (Dave) Lyon; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Fischer; and special friend Arlene Huscke.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Ruth Valliant
