Angela Marie Gartner, age 43, of Shakopee and formerly of Mapleton, died Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 11, 2017, at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mapleton. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the church, and continues one hour prior to the mass on Thursday. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home handled the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the donors choice.
Angela was born May 17, 1973, in Mankato to Leonard and Marie (Hammel) Gartner. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Angela was a 1991 graduate of Maple River High School and a 1996 graduate of Winona State University. She was employed with various companies in the Winona and La Crosse areas, before working for the past 14 years at C.H. Robinson Worldwide in Eden Prairie. She was a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church in Eden Prairie. Angela enjoyed scrapbooking, playing in summer softball and volleyball leagues, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, especially her nephews.
Angela is survived by her parents, Leonard and Marie Gartner of Mapleton; two brothers, Tim Gartner of Eagan and Jeff (Taryn) Gartner of Mapleton; two nephews, Landon and Cody Gartner; also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
