Adeline Rose "Addie" McCabe age 91, of Madelia, Minnesota died on January 16, 2017 at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madelia, on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 am with Father Timothy Hall as Celebrant.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and will continue on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home, Pilgrim Chapel in Madelia. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.
Addie was born in Madelia, MN on August 10, 1925 to Thomas and Laura Osborne. Addie grew up on a farm south of Madelia and graduated from Madelia High School in 1943. On October 6, 1947 she married Carrol "Lefty" McCabe. Addie was a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia. Addie enjoyed painting, reading, upholstering, sewing, bowling, golfing, traveling, and crossword puzzles.
Addie is survived by her children, Barbara Grefe of Shakopee MN, Steven (Irene) McCabe of Sanborn MN, Michael (Terese) McCabe of Eden Prairie MN, Lynn (Cal) Steele of Wells MN, Terry (Judy) McCabe of Midland MI, Lee (Mary) McCabe of Madelia, Jeanne (Jim) Nelson of Oconomowoc WI, Kelly McCabe of Eden Prairie MN, Bill McCabe of Milwaukee WI; special nephew, John (Moraye) Hall of Los Angeles CA; 20 grandchildren, Margaret (Ben) Putnam, Debra Quiroz, Blake (Marissa) Grefe, Tim (Susan) McCabe, Ben (Randee) McCabe, Laura McCabe, Caitlin McCabe, Calvin Steele, Adam (Kelly) Steele, Jessie (Wade) Waltz, Erin (Matt) Robin, Meghan (Eric) Jankowski, Nickie McCabe (Mark Healy), Josh (Tiffany) McCabe, Jacqui (Brooks) Borrell, Sam McCabe, Toni Nelson (Corey Trainor), Cheryl Nelson, Delaney McCabe, Dylan McCabe; 27 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Pat Osborne of Apache Junction AZ, Dorothy McCabe, Marian (Dick) Paul, Ellen (Ron) Chapman, Jeanette (Rick) Kouba; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Pat) McCabe, Greg McCabe, Richard (Jan) McCabe, Lawrence (Aida) McCabe, Roy (Chris) McCabe and Don (Jan) McCabe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lefty; her parents; siblings Evelyn (Harold) Anderson, Ruth Osborne, Lucille Hall, Lloyd (Lorraine) Osborne, Richard (Almuth) Osborne and Ronald Osborne.
