A. Vivian Braun, age 98 of Mankato, MN and formerly of Pemberton, MN died peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Pathstone Crossing in Mankato, MN.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freedom Township, Waseca County with Rev. Larry Sipe officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday morning for two hours prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers Vivians family requests memorials be designated to Mayo Hospice, Immanuel Lutheran Church, or donors choice. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is handling arrangements.

A. Vivian Braun, the daughter of Chester and Elsie (Kuhn) Hubbard was born on July 3, 1918 in Winnebago, MN, Faribault County. She graduated from Winnebago High School with the class of 1936. Vivian received an Associates degree from Miss Woods Kindergarten and Primary Training School in Minneapolis. She then received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mankato State College. Vivian taught in public schools for 22 years. On December 1960, Vivian was united in marriage to Edward Braun at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Janesville, MN. They resided on the Braun family farm in rural Pemberton. For 10 years she worked part time at the Pemberton Post Office. She and her husband enjoyed camping and traveling in all 50 states and several foreign countries. Vivian enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. After her husband retired they continued living on the farm until 2012 when they moved to Pathstone Crossing in Mankato.

She is survived by her brother, Arlyn (Joyce) Hubbard of Mankato; sisters-in-law, Gladys Dagan of Eagle Lake, and Arlene Braun of Pemberton; by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Braun on January 19, 2014; brother, Leslie Hubbard; sisters, Wanda Klukken, Helen Richison, and Virginia Huber.
