Terrance "Terry" Donald Crist

September 27, 1960 - November 22, 2018

Terrance Terry Donald Crist Terrance "Terry" Crist of Richardson, Texas passed at the young age of 78 surrounded by his family on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2018.
He was born in Mankato, Minnesota on September 27, 1940 to Donald "Don" and Bernice "Ben" Crist. He graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1958. In 1962, he graduated with a degree in Business and Psychology from Mankato State University, now known as Minnesota State University. He married Mary Jo Trudeau in 1967 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They spent their newlywed years in Chicago and in 1974, they moved to Richardson, Texas where it became their home for the next 44 years.
Terry served in the Naval Air Reserve and simultaneously entered the business world in sales with Frigidaire Appliances. He spent the majority of his career in the corporate training profession starting with Xerox Learning Systems, the Forum Corporation, Learning International and General Motors. He spent sixteen years as Vice President/Executive Director in education and economical development with Zenger-Miller inc., which merged into Times Mirror Training. He finished up his career with the Tom Peters Company as the Executive Director of Alliances.
As he aged gracefully, Terry combined his love for the game of golf and fund raising by accepting the Executive Director position of the NETWORK. He then combined his love for baseball and socializing by becoming a greeter/usher for the Texas Rangers, which of course provided the opportunity to watch all games in-person and a first class seat when the Rangers went to the World Series in 2010 and 2011. His last fun venture was working at Klyde Warren Park. He exuded "find the fun" in all that you do!
In his spare time, Terry enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf and fishing. He had a hard time passing up a good sports game on TV, particularly baseball, basketball or golf. He kept an ongoing "Bucket List" and knew it was the start of a good day if it began with a cup of coffee, sports page and a good book in hand.
Terry was best known for his gregarious personality, clever "Terryisms", and his positive disposition. He could charm a room of one or a room of a hundred! Terry would make friends with anyone who came into contact with him and all were better for knowing him.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Ben Crist and wife, Mary Jo (married 50 years). He is survived by his son Tim Crist (Wendy) of Parker, Colorado; daughters Lisa Cloud (John) of La CaƱada Flintridge, California and Annie Grizzaffi (Matt) of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Kyleigh and Emma Crist, Charlie and Cody Cloud, Hunter and Hadley Jo Grizzaffi.
The celebration of Terry's life will be held Monday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 6306 Kenwood Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75214, followed by a reception.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Terry's name to Dallas 24 Hour Club at https://www.dallas24hourclub.org where your donation will help provide a safe, sober transitional living for homeless men and women seeking a brand new life away from alcohol and drugs.

Terry was one of my best friends in high school. We played sports together and did a few pranks. He was a great guy and will be missed.
