Sheryl K. Carroll, age 65, of New Ulm passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Laurels Peak Rehabilitation Center in Mankato with her family by her side.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Jeffrey Bovee officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home - SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, David; their children, Diana (Jason) Geller, Paul (Amanda) Carroll and Mark (Beth Schmitz) Carroll; 5 grandchildren; her mother, Joleen Huiras; her sister, Sandy (Louie) Sellner and her brother, Marlin (Paula) Huiras.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Sheryl Kay Huiras was born May 23, 1952 in New Ulm to Eugene and Joleen (Frank) Huiras. She grew up on a farm outside Sleepy Eye. She graduated from Sleepy Eye High School. After high school she graduated from Anker School of Nursing in St. Paul. She married David Carroll on April 2, 1976 in Sleepy Eye. The couple raised their family in New Ulm. She worked as an RN for most of her life. She enjoyed gardening; taking walks and spending time outside but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
