May 08, 1953 - January 08, 2019

Tweedy Leroy Critzer Samuel (Tweedy) Leroy Critzer, age 65, of Mankato, MN died peacefully at Monarch Meadows surrounded by family on January 8, 2019.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Busters Sports Bar and Grill at 1325 Madison Ave., Mankato, MN from 3-6pm on Sunday, January 13th. Burial will be at a later date.
Samuel was born May 8th, 1953 to Howard and Mary Katherine (Critzer) Di Pietro in Prince Georges County, MD. Samuel was united in marriage to Katheryn (Hamilton) on July 15, 1979. He worked as an over the road trucker until he retired in 1994. Samuel's hobby was drawing and coloring pictures for everyone to enjoy. He liked to dance to country music and loved visiting with friends and family. He loved taking his grandchildren on long "adventures" around the neighborhood. His favorite game was "getting the alligators" in the nearby park. Samuel truly valued his family and enjoyed spending every moment he could with them. He joked that he liked his kids but loved his grandchildren.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Katheryn; five sons, Samuel (Mary), Jonathan, Damian, Chasse (Jennifer) and Blaize; his daughter, Betty. He leaves behind his beloved granddaughters, Shelby, Jamie Jo, Lori, Alyssa, Rylee and Brianna; grandson, Brody; his two sisters, Brenda Simmons of VA and Victoria (Tom) Anderson of MD; brothers, Bruce Ranion of FL, Tony (Marie) Di Pietro, Paul Di Pietro and Michael Critzer of VA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Samuel is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Katherine; three brothers, Wayne, Robert and Scottie Critzer.

Sam was awesome with the students, he offered his time and story to each student that stopped by. He was an inspiration to all of us.
May he rest in peace and you all have the memories to make you smile and remember the good things.
