Roger R. Schwichtenberg, age 90, of Faribault died on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Kenyon Senior Living.
Funeral services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Robert L. Mundahl officiating. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown.
Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Roger Richard, the son of Richard and Esther (Velzke) Schwichtenberg was born on March 17, 1927 in North Morristown. He graduated from Waterville High School and also Mankato Business School. He married Ivadell J. Ivy Leslie on August 30, 1959 and she preceded him in death on October 3, 2017. Roger was employed by Northern States Power Company for 39 ½ years, he also enjoyed working part-time for Lehman Gardens, Donahues and M & M Enterprises for many years.
He is survived by his son, David of Kenyon; a sister, Joann Schwichtenberg of Oak Park, IL; two brothers in law, Nelmer Morsching of Waterville and Lowell Hetletvedt of Faribault; two sisters in law, RaeLou Schwichtenberg of Elysian and Darlette Strand of Waseca; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ivy; three sisters, Mayion Hetletvedt, Lorraine Morsching and Arlene (and Raymond) Brekke; one brother, Harland, a brother in infancy and a nephew, Danny Hetletvedt.
