Richard's Story

Text size

Richard Arthur Tillson has died. He has ceased to be. He has kicked the bucket. He has shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible, probably as their pianist. Rich led an extraordinary life in which he was an Antarctic explorer, engineer, carpenter, musician, scuba diver, inventor, and nature enthusiast. Rich shared his love of hot Thai food with anyone brave enough to join him, laughed hard and often, and always remained curious about the world around him.
He lives on in the warm memories of his wife Sheri Tillson, his daughters Jessica Guistolise and Lillian Jensen, and all those who knew him as friend. His family and friends held a gathering at home to celebrate his life and wish him well on the next big adventure. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Ocean Conservancy in his memory and remember to always look on the bright side of life.
