Mary Jo's Story
Mary Jo Crist of Richardson, Texas passed away peacefully at the young age of 74 surrounded by her family on February 8, 2018. Mary Jo endured an A-typical Parkinsonism Disease called Corticobasal Degeneration Disease, with faith, grace, dignity, and a fierce determination to beat the odds.
She was born in Marshall, Minnesota on June 1, 1943 to Zephire and Daisy Trudeau. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1961 and Mankato State College in 1965. She married Terry Crist in 1967 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1974, they moved to Richardson, Texas and remained in Richardson for 44 years.
Mary Jo was best known for her thoughtfulness, energy, style and determination.
She was a devoted mother, wife, friend, teacher, businesswomen, and charitable volunteer leader
Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents, brother Leo "Bud" Trudeau and sister-in-law Fran Trudeau, and brother Clayton Trudeau. She is survived by her husband Terry of Dallas, Texas; Betty Trudeau of Springfield, Minnesota; son Tim Crist (Wendy) of Parker, Colorado; daughters Lisa Cloud (John) of La Cañada, California and Annie Grizzaffi (Matt) of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Kyleigh and Emma Crist, Charlie and Cody Cloud, Hunter and baby girl Grizzaffi (making her debut in April).
The celebration of Mary Jo's extraordinary life will be held on Wednesday, February 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Drive, Plano, Texas 75075 followed immediately by a reception.
