Mark Quentin Beadell

Mark Quentin Beadell, age 61, of Mankato, died Tuesday, June 11, 2019 after a short battle with lung cancer.
Mark was born October 27, 1957 to Quentin and Carolyn (Leonard) Beadell at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. He graduated from Wellcome Memorial High School in Garden City in 1976. Mark married Kay Long in 1980. Together, they had two children and later divorced. In his early years, Mark worked in banking alongside his father at his family's business, Community Bank of Vernon Center, Amboy, Eagle Lake, and Mankato. He married Nancy Beck Oliver in 2013. Mark continued to serve as a board member at Community Bank until his illness.
Mark loved life's simple pleasures, like spending time mowing his yard in the country, playing with his dog, Bandit, or driving fast with music loud in his yellow speedboat, yellow 4-wheeler, or yellow mustang.
His happiest times were the ones he spent with his family and friends: making them laugh, teasing just a little, and encouraging them to do the things they loved.
Mark is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Stephanie (Justin) Briggs of Portland, Oregon and Robert (Katie) Beadell of Mankato; step-daughter Rikki (Travis) Brumbalow of Woodstock, Georgia; grandchildren, Jack, Blake, and one more on the way; parents, Quentin and Carolyn; sister Cheryl (Jon) Kietzer and nephews and niece Tyler, Courtney, and Sam Kietzer; good friend - almost brother - Tony Sadaka; mother-in-law Delores Thompson of Eagle Lake; sisters-in-law Ginny (Lon) Lien of Worthington, Cathy (Jim) Sieberg of Lake Washington, Marilyn (Randy) Pierce of Janesville; brother-in-law Denny Thompson of Janesville; former wife Kay Beadell Scholtz; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, whom he loved dearly.
Mark wishes a private family burial at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Hospice or the American Lung Association.
A special thank you to the staff at Oaklawn Nursing Home and to the Mayo Hospice and Palliative Care teams for their care.
Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

I am saddened to hear about Mark's passing...but very happy that I got to see and have a short visit with him not too long ago. I remember Mark being a fun and funny friend in highschool.
