Marian E. Wollin, age 90 of St. Peter, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Benedictine Living Community.
Funeral service will be 11:00 Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter. Visitation is 6:00 -8:00 Friday at St. Peter Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis on Monday, October 23 at 12:30. Memorials may be directed toward the Benedictine Living Community Music Program.
Marian was born October 22, 1926 in Wabasso, MN to Carl and Molly (Kiecker) Radel. She graduated as class Valedictorian from Wabasso High in 1944. Marian was united in marriage to Kenneth M. Wollin on May 24, 1955. She played organ at her church in Wabasso and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, decorating for holidays, baking (especially her sugar cookies), cheering on her sports teams especially the Twins, and the activities of her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her smile, and being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: David (Deb) Wollin of Waterville, Jeff (Carla) Wollin of Litchfield and Lori (Brent) Hanson of St. Peter; seven grandchildren: Chelsea Wollin, Kenneth (Zoey) Wollin, Jamie (fiancée Bryce Brunz) Wollin, Katie Hanson, Mitchell Wollin, Daulton Wollin and Kelli Hanson; a brother, Vernon Radel of North Mankato; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2005 and three brothers.
