Passed away on October 29, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Louise (Swan) Cooper. Survived by brother, Roger (Ruth) Cooper of Cedar Rapids, IA; nephew, Stephen (Jenny) Cooper and their children, Grace, Ethan, and Sam; special friend, traveling companion, and confidant Annette Nelson; caregiver and friend, Sheree Lucas along with Emogene and Coco; and all her wonderful drivers. Linda graduated from Mankato High School in 1965 and from Mankato State University in 1969. She taught for 8 years in a high school in SW MN before enrolling at the University of Iowa where she obtained her Masters of Arts and also served as the assistant women's basketball coach. From Iowa she went to the University of Oklahoma where she was the assistant women's basketball coach in charge of national recruiting. From Oklahoma, she went to a community college in southern Illinois where she was Department Chair of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Athletics. She later moved on to become a credit analyst for a publishing house and finished her working career as a Principal Child Support Officer for Hennepin County. She retired from Hennepin County on June 30, 2013. Celebration of life on Monday, November 6, at 11AM with visitation at 10:30AM at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 County Rd 101, Maple Grove, MN. No flowers.
