Leon Curtis Glazier, 79, Le Sueur, passed away Nov 1, 2017 after a recent health setback.
Memorial Mass is Friday, Nov 10, 2017, 11:00 a.m, St. Annes Church, Le Sueur, MN. Visitation, Thursday, Nov 9, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kolden Funeral Home, Le Sueur and 1 hr. prior to mass on Friday at church. Interment with Military Honors in Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN. Lunch to follow at St. Annes School
An amazing husband, father, and grandfather, known for his kind and gentle nature, quick wit and lively story-telling, Leon was very devoted to his family and many friends. He was a passionate fan of many MN sports teams. Leon was an avid golfer and bowler, and was inducted into the LS Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2000.
Leon was born Jan. 2, 1938. He graduated from Wells HS in 1955. He entered the US Army in 1956 and honorably discharged after 6 years of service before attending the U of MN and Mankato State (1963).
Leon and Doris Staloch married Nov 7, 1964 in Albert Lea, MN. Leon was a computer programmer for many years at Green Giant, and also worked in computer sciences at Mankato Tech and Scholarship of America. He was self-employed at Glazier Resources (Honeywell, Mpls) during the Y2K conversion before earning well-deserved retirement in 1999.
Leon is survived by spouse, Doris Glazier of Le Sueur; son Alan of Tucson, AZ, Monica (Rohan Allwood) of Blythewood, SC and Valerie (Steve Ginal) of Eden Prairie, MN. He was adored and deeply missed by grandchildren; Carter, Connor and Kara, as well as Faith (Eric) Smith. He is also survived by many siblings-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Leon is met in Heaven by his son and golf partner, Craig (June 2016) and also daughter-in-law Teresita (April 2016). Full obit. to be found at koldenfuneralhome.com
