May 09, 1938 - October 04, 2018

Karla (Weber) Haugen, age 80, a long-time resident of both North Mankato and Mankato passed away peacefully early morning on October 4, 2018. A service celebrating her life will be held at Belgrade United Methodist Church in North Mankato on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12:00pm with visitation starting at 10:00am.
Karla, the daughter of Karl and Evelyn Weber was born on May 9, 1938 and grew up on Center Street in North Mankato. On April 9, 1958 she married Ken Haugen and adopted two daughters, Kathy and Kari. She made many friends of the customers she served as she worked at Pizza Kato, Madsens, then Randalls. Her family was active in Valley Voyagers Camping club and Al-Anon. Karla and Kenny traveled all over the USA by motorcycle and travel trailer, wintering in Apache Junction, Arizona for over ten years. She was a lifetime member of Belgrade Methodist Church serving in every area including nursery, rummage sale and UMW.
She will be dearly missed by Ken, her husband of 60 years; daughter Kathy (Bob) Erkel; daughter Kari Underdahl; brother, James (Randa) Weber; Sister-in-laws Joan Haugen and Janet Haugen; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
There to greet her in heaven are her mom & dad, Evelyn and Karl Weber; Parents-in-law, Arnold & Hermyna Haugen; Brothers-in-law, Gene & Marlin; and Great-granddaughter, Kylie Wildgen.
In lieu of flowers, Karla requests gifts to Belgrade Avenue Church for a new ramp.
Karla was a shining example of bold faith, energetic service, and fiercely loyal love.

We are so very sorry to learn of Karla’s passing. She was a beautiful soul. Comfort and care to you during this difficult time.
We are away from Mankato so unable to attend Karla’s service.
