John's Story

Text size

John Allin Lever arrived on this earth on October 6th, 1948 to young and in love parents John Allin Lever Sr. and Laurel Lever (Campbell). They often found themselves totally unprepared for raising such a high spirited child as Johnny boy.
As a teenager John belonged to the local gun club and spent a great deal of time hunting and fishing with his Brother and Father before graduating High School in 1966.
John married his high school sweetheart Patricia, (the redhead of his dreams) on a hot Summer day August 8, 1970. Shortly there after, he graduated from MSU with a BA and a BS in Business and Mathematics. Their lives continued to be blessed by the arrivals of two beautiful baby girls, Angie and Christy.
John belonged to numerous social groups such as, the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge and the Masons. He was a successful entrepreneur owning multiple businesses and many properties in the local area.
John made many friends and business cohorts along the way as he has lived and worked much of his life among them in Mankato.
His lifelong love of the Minnesota Vikings, hunting, fishing, gun fun, and any motorized vehicles started early and he enjoyed them for as long and late in life as he could. He especially relished the times he was proudly passing the fishing rod, the gun muzzle and the ATV wheelie crafts to his adoring Grand Sons.
John is survived by his wife, Patricia Lever (McManama), his two Daughters, Christine Foss (Tom) and Angela Fogal (Brian) and 4 Grand kids, Andrew McGuire, Matthew McGuire, Kyle Fogal and Nathan Fogal. He is also survived by Two Sisters: Melinda Re (Joey) Marie Egger (Ted) and his Brother Scott Lever. He is preceded in Death by his Parents and Grandparents.
