John "Jack" Frederick Jones, 92, of Mankato, died Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.
Visitation will be held from 1-4p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N Riverfront Dr., in Mankato. Burial will take place at the Lyra Cemetery at later date.
Jack was born July 29, 1926 in Lyra Township to Herbert and Katherine (Hicks) Jones and attended school in Good Thunder. In 1955, John married Doris Griffin. Together, they raised two children, Brad and Danna and were later divorced. As a young teenager, he worked as a plow boy, farming with horses until their first tractor in 1946. In 1955, Jack began working as a pin boy at Striking Lanes in Mankato, eventually becoming manager of Double Deuce (Victory Bowl) and Village Bowl (Dutler's Bowl). He retired from managing in the late 1990s. He continued working for CWC a few years and driving part time for Lager's.
In his spare time, Jack enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling on leagues until 2014 (still able to roll in the 200's), and driving his car with a box of Little Debbies.
He is survived by his son, Brad (Lorene) Jones; grandchildren, Chelsey Jones and Garrett Kopka; and Rhun Jones and family in Wales UK.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Danna.

Jack lived right across the street (Nottham Dr) we enjoyed many great times with Jack. You could not ask for a better neighbor.
