Jeremy Thompson, age 40 of New Richland, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 29, 2017.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato. Interment will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 8 to 10 A.M. prior to services at the funeral home. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is handling arrangements.
Jeremy was born on September 30, 1976 in Wells, MN to Alfred and Dawn Thompson. He was the 12th of 13 children. Jeremy grew up in the rural Waldorf area and attended Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School. Jeremy worked for Joecks' Farms for close to 20 years. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for trucking. He worked for Eaton Trucking and most recently Long Haul Trucking. He found true enjoyment in traveling to new places and making sure all the details of his load were handled correctly. Jeremy also incorporated his love of trucks into a sideline polishing business. He will be remembered throughout the trucking community for his hard work and enthusiasm to restore all of his clients' trucks into their finest condition.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Alfred & Dawn Thompson, his siblings: Bonni (Kent) Thompson, Kelly (Donny) McCoy, Candy (Kevin) Kuster, Robin (Joel) McCarville, Shannon (Kerby) Thompson, Ken Thompson, Bill (Kristy) Thompson, Sarah (Brad) Supalla, Mary (Kent) Brolsma, Tim (Jane) Thompson, Billie Jean Breuer, his brother-in-law, Rick Borchardt, and many nieces and nephews.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his sister, Veronica Borchardt, and his maternal & paternal grandparents.
